How to Make Pecan Pie

With Christmas rapidly approaching, it’s time to make all of the sweets you can before you vow to eat healthy in the new year!

I tasted pecan pie for the first time when my aunt Joslyn made it for Thanksgiving. I LOVED IT! (Probably because it’s all sugar…)

So I took her recipe and made one. It’s super simple!

1 cup light Karo

3/4 cup sugar

3 room temperature eggs (beaten)

3 tablespoons of butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1 cup of chopped pecans

1 deep dish pie shell

Here’s how:

  1. Boil Karo & sugar for about two minutes
  2. Slowly mix sugar mixture with eggs using a whisk
  3. Add butter, pecans and vanilla
  4. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes
