How to Make Brownies in a Mug

I just had a brownie in a mug for breakfast. Some people would probably consider this rock bottom, but honestly this might be my peak.

Remember when making food in a mug was all of the rage? Yeah, well I’m bringing that back.

I’m home from college for another week and my mom doesn’t grocery shop so we have like no food. I told my mom ONE TIME that I really like hot chocolate so she went and bought TWO boxes of hot chocolate mix. What a sweet lady.

I had to put the hot chocolate packets to use.

Chelsi (yeah, that’s my dog) and I put our heads together to make this super rockin’ brownie in a mug recipe with hot chocolate mix.Wife us.

Anthropologie Mug

1.5 packs/6 tablespoons hot chocolate mix

4 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons melted butter

3 tablespoons water

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Handful of chocolate chips

A mug

Optional: Ice cream, carmel, chocolate syrup, or whatever

Here’s how:

  1. Put flour and hot cocoa in the mug
  2. Mix in butter, water and vanilla
  3. Add in chocolate chips
  4. Microwave for 60-90 seconds

Now this is the part where I show you a super beautiful picture of how your brownie in a mug should look. But let’s get real, it isn’t pretty. Put some ice cream on it or some carmel or something.

What really matters is that it tastes good…
