Monday Motivation

Hi Lovelies!

This might be weird, but lately I’ve found lots of comfort and inspiration on Instagram. We commonly talk about the negatives that can come from social media, but there are a lot of people out there using it for good!

Today, I want to spotlight the accounts that are doing just that. Here are four of my favorite Instagram accounts that you need to follow NOW!

I Am Her Tribe

Danielle Doby is a genius. I’m serious. Her words fill up my little yogi heart with every post. Her words are challenging and thoughtful. I think my Instagram bookmark page is filled with mostly her posts.

My life changed the moment I stopped waiting for someone to come and pick me. ⠀ It's the moment I discovered "i'm not good enough" isn't a song I wanted to dance to anymore, so I went out and wrote a new one. ⠀ It's the moment I realized I was tired of hustling to prove my value, to validate the space I take up just because it didn't look like what surrounded me. ⠀ It's the moment I decided that I was worth choosing, me and all my one million layers, so I made the choice to belong here. Just as I am. ⠀ A certain freedom unfolds when we meet fear with compassion and worthiness. ⠀ Do not wait on the world for permission to be daring, to be different, beautiful, brilliant or loved as you are. ⠀ Be your own invitation. Only you get to decide when you belong. #iamhertribe #theinvitation

just like you, there are days where i feel defeated. days where i feel overwhelmed at the state of our world and days where i just don't know how to powerfully show up in it while still navigating all of my own shit. ⠀ then, i have to remind myself that not everything i do to help nudge our reality in a different direction has to be tall + rebellious. ⠀ ⠀ sometimes, the most earth-shifting action we can give to the world is to let our chests break open big enough to let others in. to lean into our most vulnerable selves and say, "i don't know how we got here, but here i am, showing up for you, and together i want to go out and create the answers." ⠀ we may not be able to heal our entire collective in one moment, but moment by moment, we can support and love each other through it. to let that be enough is a lesson worth learning. again. and again. and again. #iamhertribe

A Morning Prayer

Remember when every account ever on Instagram freaked out about the new algorithm and asked you to turn your notifications on for their posts? This is the ONE account I do have my notifications on for.

Raquel is a rockstar. I relate to her on an insane as she was once involved in pageantry. Her dedication to her faith inspires me. Her daily devotionals and bible verses help me expand my relationship with God. Even if you aren’t a huge faith person, I’d recommend you check out A Morning Prayer.

Oh, and as if her posts themselves weren’t enough, she also goes through devotional books daily on her IG story! We just went through “I Declare” by Joel Osteen, and it was POWERFUL. You’ll want this account in your life. Trust me.

I woke up singing this song and feeling so fresh! I believe God is doing a new thing! And instead of walking forward in fear, I'm running forward in faith! This is a new season! He split the sea so I could walk right through it! And He is carving a road with your name on it too! Look for His light! 🔦🕯 🎼I’m no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God I’m no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God From my mothers womb You have chosen me Love has called my name I’ve been born again, into a family Your blood flows through my veins I’m no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God I’m no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God You split the sea So I could walk right through it My fears were drowned in perfect love You rescued me And I will stand and sing I am the child of God 🎼 – No Longer Salves by Bethel Music #amorningprayer

The fear of human opinion DISABLES us from moving forward, praying, forgiving, declaring, obeying… Amiright? Is there a time when you were on fire for something only to be discouraged at what "so and so" might think? Or maybe you wanted to quit your 9-5 to chase your dreams but haven't because mom or dad may not like that. A quick google search and you'll find that the definition of disable is: to limit (someone) in their movements, senses, or activities. Who's opinion is limiting your senses, preventing you from moving forward or doing things that set your soul on fire? Think no longer about that person's opinion, girlfriend! and TRUST that God will protect you from being disabled by it! He will ENABLE you to do what He has called you to do and EQUIP you with everything you will need to make it happen, because He has QUALIFIED you! #AMORNINGPRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you so much for protecting me from being disabled by human opinion. You are all that matters. Please remind me of that daily, while the enemy tries to convince me otherwise. Amen | 02.23.16 #BIBLEVERSE Ref: “The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in GOD protects you from that.” Proverbs‬ ‭29:25‬ ‭MSG‬‬
