On Sunday, I spent part of the afternoon out at Soaring Wings Vineyard to celebrate Stevie’s 23rd birthday! It was a perfect day, live music, great weather, the whole deal.
If there was an award for best dressed group we would’ve won. Not to brag.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets mild anxiety about what to wear at any event ever. I stand in my closet thinking, “Is this too casual?” or “Am I overdressed?” But I’m starting to realize it’s more about how you play it, and if you like it who cares, right?
As I was standing in my closet my eyes kept coming back to this lace romper I just bought at beyourself boutique when I went on a romper spree. Yeah, it’s the basic romper that every girl you know has but it’s so cute.
My mom made me sew up the front because ya know modest is hottest, but I’m not mad because I’m more comfortable with it sewn up. This is the mauve color, dusty rose was a close second.
Of course a dainty gold necklace is the perfect addition to anything and this triangle one from The Shine Project is my favorite. I’ve been wearing it all summer.
Overall, I’m happy with this outfit and how it turned out even though it’s super #basic.
Here’s to Stevie turning 23!
