Food Finds: Ansel’s Pastrami & Bagels

Hi Lovelies,

I’ve been eating some seriously tasty food lately. For someone who is not a self-proclaimed foodie, this is a big deal. Brett and I have eaten our way through Blackstone over the last couple months completing what we’ve dubbed “The Blackstone Crawl” in less than two months. #fatkids

This spot, is one I found without him though, and it’s a hit! If you’re a true Omaha food fan, you remember when Noli’s Pizzeria originally opened t two spots down from its’ current location. Well now the owners have transformed that quaint spot into a bagel, sandwich HAVEN, Ansel’s Pastrami & Bagels!

If you know me outside of this blog, you know my favorite sandwich ever was the Ploughman’s at French Bulldog (may it rest in peace), and I’ve been mourning the loss of that spot since it closed a few years back. Well now, Ansel’s Tomato Jam sandwich is my new favorite.

It’s rare to find a good, flavorful vegetarian-friendly sandwich. I don’t want hummus. I don’t just want a salad with bread on the outside. I want a sandwich, and it needs to have cheese.

Ansel’s Tomato Jam sandwich gives me everything I need. A great spread, cheese, microgreens (a new favorite of mine) and great bread! Yup, the bread is the same as Noli’s pizza crust. Total swoon. Non-veg people, you have to try this too!

If you’re not living the “veg-life” don’t worry. I’ve been with plenty people who have ordered a variety of options and everyone has given it five stars. You can’t go wrong, seriously.
